What is sold, and how a contract comes about

This shop sells a single service: 15 minutes of consulting with Alexander Finger, delivered as a video call over Microsoft Teams, for CHF 50.00. The price is the final price. No further charges are added.

There is no checkout on this website. Orders are placed exclusively through the shop's MCP server, which a buyer reaches using an AI assistant. The steps are:

  1. The assistant asks the shop which appointment slots are free.
  2. It tells you the exact time and the price, and you choose a slot.
  3. It places the order, which reserves that slot for 30 minutes and returns a payment link. Nothing is charged at this point.
  4. You open the link and pay on a page hosted by Stripe.
  5. The contract is concluded when payment is confirmed. You then receive a calendar invitation containing your order number, the price paid and the joining link. That invitation is your order confirmation.

Before payment, nothing is binding: no order is charged until you complete the payment page, and an unpaid reservation lapses by itself after 30 minutes. If any detail is wrong, ask your assistant to cancel the order and place a new one.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time before the meeting for a full refund, by asking your assistant to cancel the booking with your order number and email address. Rescheduling to another free slot is free of charge. Refunds are returned by the original payment method and normally arrive within a few days.

If the shop cannot deliver a booking it has been paid for, it refunds the payment automatically without you having to ask.

Ordering channel, and how to cancel if it fails

Orders are placed through the seller's MCP server, reached with an AI assistant. By placing an order, the buyer agrees to use that channel for the purchase.

Cancellation is not tied to that channel. If the MCP server is unavailable, malfunctioning, or for any reason does not work for the buyer, the seller accepts cancellation by any other means. An email to af@syd.de quoting the order number is enough, and a full refund follows on exactly the same terms as a cancellation made through the shop. No buyer is left unable to cancel because a technical channel failed.

About this shop

This shop is a proof of concept. It exists to demonstrate a technology and to make an argument about the future of e-commerce: that an online shop should be usable by the buyer's software agent, and not only by the buyer's eyes. It deliberately has no checkout page, no cart and no buy button, because the point is that none of those are necessary.

Everything about it is nonetheless real. The payment is a real payment, the appointment is a real appointment in the seller's calendar, and the 15 minutes are really spent with the seller. The demonstration would be worthless otherwise. Buyers' rights under this contract are the same as they would be in any other shop.

Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

This contract is governed by Swiss law, in particular the Swiss Code of Obligations (Obligationenrecht, OR). The place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of or in connection with this contract is Murten, Switzerland, being the seller's place of residence.

No terms and conditions apply to this contract other than those set out on this page. The buyer's general terms and conditions and general purchasing conditions are expressly excluded insofar as they derogate from the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations. Such conditions do not become part of this contract by reference to them, by the placing or acceptance of an order, or by performance of the contract.
